When I start talking to my couples about possible venues for their pre-wedding shoot, I always ask them if they have any special place as a couple, or somewhere that evokes childhood memories and beautiful moments.
I like it when they propose this kind of locations because these photos make much more sense for them; they are places that they feel as their own because they have visited them many times throughout their lives and for them it is like being at home. For my part I also love it because they tell me anecdotes that help them to relax the moments before the session and sometimes they show me towns and spaces that are new to me, which gives me an extra motivation for the fact of being in an unknown place and making the most of it.
Olimpia and Herman understood this idea immediately and proposed several places to me; the chosen one was finally the fishing village of Calahonda where Olimpia has spent her summers since she was a child and now, since they have been together, it has also become a special place for both of them.
We spent the late afternoon strolling barefoot along the shore, chatting, laughing and ended up at a beach bar toasting to life.
